Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Senior Living | Contract-to-Hire

Location: Carlsbad, CA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $23 Per Hour

AlliedUP Cooperative is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support residents in a senior living community in Carlsbad. This role focuses on assisting with daily care needs while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Schedule & Openings

  • Preferred Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday (flexible)

  • PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • NOC Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility

  • Support safe transfers and follow proper lifting techniques

  • Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights

  • Assist with meals, including serving and tray delivery

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment

  • Encourage resident engagement in activities and daily routines

  • Follow care plans and complete documentation each shift

  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines

  • Follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Active California CNA certification (required)

  • Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

  • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely

  • Completion of required trainings and onboarding

  • Must comply with CA mandated reporter requirements

  • Reliable attendance and professionalism required
