About the Role

AlliedUP Co-op is seeking a Member Services Manager for a mission-driven community healthcare organization in Oakland.

This role combines people leadership, healthcare operations, and data analysis. You'll use Epic and other data sources to understand patient enrollment, attribution, utilization, and retention trends—and turn those insights into practical strategies that improve access to care and strengthen the patient experience.

This is not primarily an eligibility or enrollment processing role. We're looking for a leader who can see the bigger picture, identify opportunities in the data, improve workflows, and coach a patient-facing team to deliver results.

What You'll Do

• Analyze patient, payer, utilization, attribution, and enrollment data to identify trends and opportunities
• Identify patients at risk of losing coverage or leaving the health system and develop targeted retention strategies
• Segment patient populations to prioritize outreach and enrollment efforts
• Identify patient leakage and recommend strategies to improve retention and panel growth
• Develop operational scorecards, KPIs, and recurring reporting
• Translate data into clear recommendations for clinical and operational leaders
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and lead process improvements
• Partner with Registration, Call Center, Population Health, Finance, and Clinical teams
• Lead, coach, and develop a customer-focused Member Services team
• Maintain working knowledge of Medi-Cal and other coverage programs to support enrollment and coverage-continuity strategies

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of healthcare operations experience using data to improve performance, access, retention, or patient experience
• Experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets and translating findings into action
• Proven people-management experience in a customer- or patient-facing environment
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with Epic reports and other healthcare data sources
• Strong process-improvement and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with both frontline staff and senior leaders

Preferred:

• FQHC or community health experience
• Epic reporting experience, including SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, or similar tools
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal managed care, attribution, panel management, and patient retention
• Lean, Kaizen, PDSA, or other continuous-improvement experience
