Caregiver – Resident Care Aide
Location: San Jose, CA
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Friday through Monday
Available Shifts:
  • PM: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • NOC: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
About the Opportunity
AlliedUP is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver – Resident Care Aide (RCA) to support residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older adults and is committed to providing person-centered care that promotes dignity, comfort, safety, and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Provide assistance during meals and help monitor dietary needs.
  • Engage residents in conversation, activities, and companionship.
  • Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, appetite, or skin integrity to nursing leadership.
  • Document care provided using community systems and shift reports.
  • Follow individualized resident care plans.
  • Help maintain clean and organized resident rooms, including laundry and linens.
  • Follow infection control procedures, safety standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Previous caregiving experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Home Care preferred.
  • Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and dementia care techniques.
  • Ability to follow care plans and communicate clearly with team members.
  • Compassionate, patient, and comfortable supporting residents with cognitive or physical needs.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support coworkers.
  • Understanding of infection control and standard precautions.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and assist residents with transfers.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional.
