Behavioral Health Records & Data Coordinator (Contract-to-Hire)

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm 

About the Role

AlliedUP Cooperative is partnering with a Community Healthcare Clinic to hire a Behavioral Health Records & Data Coordinator to support the clinic’s Behavioral Health Department. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering the chance to transition into a permanent role with our client based on performance and business needs.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting psychiatric providers by maintaining accurate clinical data, managing behavioral health medical records, and ensuring compliance with all privacy and regulatory requirements.


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain databases tracking active behavioral health caseloads

  • Enter and validate patient and service data in the EHR system daily

  • Manage and process Protected Health Information (PHI) requests in compliance with regulations

  • Assemble, organize, and maintain behavioral health medical records

  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information

  • Prepare records for psychiatric appointments and assist with follow-up scheduling

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to behavioral health staff

  • Support quality assurance activities and departmental compliance

  • Provide relief coverage and perform related duties as assigned


What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum three (3) years of clerical or administrative experience

  • Healthcare, behavioral health, or community clinic experience preferred

  • Experience with medical records, EHR systems (e.g., INSYST), and data entry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality (HIPAA)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
