- 2–3 days per week
- Flexible schedule based on facility needs; schedule is not set weekly
About the Opportunity
AlliedUP is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a 59-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in San Jose, CA. CNAs will provide hands-on, resident-centered care while supporting residents’ dignity, safety, comfort, and overall well-being. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with the potential for long-term placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or behavioral condition to the Charge Nurse or nursing leadership.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
- Assist with meals and monitor residents’ nutritional needs.
- Follow individualized care plans and nursing instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Follow infection control procedures, safety standards, and facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care practices.
- Ability to assist residents with mobility, transfers, and daily care needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to resident care.
- Ability to follow care plans, nursing instructions, and facility policies.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
