Desktop Administrator – Network Specialist
Location: Oakland, CA (On-Site Monday through Friday)
Direct Hire | Full-Time
Salary: $65,000-$80,000 annually
About the Role
AlliedUP’s Client, a mission-driven community health organization in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Desktop Administrator – Network Specialist to support day-to-day IT operations and network infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical support while contributing to reliable, high-performing network systems that support critical community services.
Responsibilities

Provide desktop support (hardware, software, connectivity issues)

Administer Microsoft 365, Windows, iOS, and Apple systems

Support network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless access points)

Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues

Perform system and network maintenance, updates, and upgrades

Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps

Assist with network improvements and wireless upgrades

Collaborate with IT team and support end-user training
Qualifications

Experience in desktop support and/or network operations

Knowledge of switches, routers, and wireless networking

Strong skills in Microsoft 365, Windows, and Apple environments

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Certifications (Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
